The Municipal Natatorium
- The Municipal Natatorium, also known locally as The Plunge, is a landmark historical pool built in 1926. The pool is twice the size of an olympic pool and the walls are decorated with period murals.
Masquers Playhouse
Masquers Playhouse is a community theater and nonprofit corporation that has been producing plays and musicals of the highest caliber for more than 60 years. The theater is currently being renovated.
Point Richmond History Museum
Our museum tells the story of Point Richmond which was once an island on San Francisco Bay. Today, Point Richmond is a vibrant neighborhood that is that city of Richmond’s birthplace.
Hotel Mac
Built in 1911, the historic Hotel Mac restaurant and hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Buildings. This three story, red brick building is a fixture for fine dining in Point Richmond. (Restaurant currently closed)
Keller Beach
Keller Beach is located in a scenic cove and is one of the Bay’s few swimming beaches. Keller cove has a regular group of open water swimmers and is a favorite secret spot among locals to relax and enjoy the bay breeze.
Summer Concerts
For 14 years, Point Richmond Music has brought free street concerts to Point Richmond’s downtown, making it a gathering place for people of all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life, who come together to enjoy musical talent of many genres.
Richmond Ferry
The Richmond Ferry provides a quick and relaxing 35 minute ride to San Francisco.
Ferry Point Tunnel
Ferry point tunnel was constructed to allow access to a ferry dock during the development of the Santa Fe transcontiental railroad. Today, the tunnel is the gateway to Brickyard Cove, the Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline and the Richmond Yacht Club.
The Point Richmond Penninsula
The Point Richmond waterfront includes miles of hiking trails on the Bay Trail and in the hills of Nicholl Knob. The new trail over the Richmond/San Rafael bridge connects cyclists and pedestrians to the trails of Marin County.
Richmond Yacht Club
Richmond Yacht Club has long had a reputation as the “sailingest” club on San Francisco Bay. In 1932 a group of Richmond locals joined forces to form the Richmond Yacht Club. United by a common desire to promote affordable sailing, they built their own boats, sewed their own sails, constructed their own club house, and ran their own races. Over the years, this same do-it-yourself volunteer approach has characterized RYC, always with the primary emphasis on sailing and racing.
Holiday Season
The Point Richmond Business Association and community comes together each December to decorate the town square and usher in the holidays.
Riggers Loft Wine Company
Riggers Loft is the East Bay’s go-to location for wine, relaxation and music. The extraordinary Bay views are the backdrop to this comfortable meeting place where locals far and wide come to relax with friends over wine, cider, food, live music and other regular events. A collective wine bar, tasting room, working winery and cidery, Riggers Loft is home to principal owners R&B Cellars, as well as Carica Wines, Wachira Wines, and Far West Cider Company.
East Brother Light Station
Located on an island just off the coast of Point Richmond, East Brother Light Station is today one of the Bay Area’s most unique bed and breakfast hotels.

TRAC 2021 New Year Report
This has been an extraordinary year for the San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond! The City of Richmond (City) completed the long-awaited Bay Trail connection with Point Pinole Regional Shoreline, and over $4 million in grant funds were secured by the City and East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to construct new and improved sections of Bay Trail. The Bay Trail’s popularity soared as an excellent place to refresh the mind and exercise the body with adequate width for social distancing.

TRAC Trail Guide Outings
The 36 miles of Bay Trail in Richmond offer a wide variety of options for walking, cycling and jogging. Bicyclists may ride all 36 miles in one day cycling the shoreline trail along Central Avenue through the many parks in Marina Bay, the Shipyard 3 Trail, the Ferry Point Loop encircling Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline, the Landfill Loop and Point Pinole Regional Shoreline as shown on the Richmond Bay Trail map. They also may traverse the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Trail to San Rafael destinations as described below. Here is a sampling of shorter loop walks for those walking:
Point Molate Bay Trail project receives $2.2M for completion
The Point Molate Bay Trail project has received the funding needed to complete its construction, which could be completed by the end of 2021, according to the Trails for Richmond Action Committee (TRAC).

Point Richmond Neighborhood Council
The PRNC meets every month. Its mission is:
- To serve the people of Point Richmond in a non-partisan, non-commercial manner and to work cooperatively with local, state and federal governments.
- To help residents determine the important needs and problems of their neighborhood by providing a place where ideas and information can be exchanged, problems studied, and actions planned.
- To promote a spirit of enhanced community.
1st Wednesday of the Month at 7 PM
Pt. Richmond CERT
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, 6:30 pm social, 7:00 pm meeting, 54 Railroad Avenue, Point Richmond.

1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 6:30 PM
Richmond City Council
Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Special meetings are held on the other Tuesdays of the month. The City Council is on recess during the month of August.
Meeting can be watched on line from the KCRT streaming service.
Last Thursday of Each Month
Point Richmond Business Association
The PRBA facilitates networking, provides cooperative marketing opportunities and protects the interests of the local business community.
All are welcome to attend the monthly business luncheons regardless of whether or not you are a business owner.
The PRBA meets the last Thursday of each month. Luncheons are usually at the Hotel Mac and mixers are held at various locations.
