December 7, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Get ready for a riveting evening as Rosie Presents! “Poster Girl” with author Shelley Blanton-Stroud.

Rosie Presents! An Evening with Shelley Blanton-Stroud, Author of Poster Girl

Join us for an exciting in-person event in Biancoverde at Hotel Mac’s private banquet room in the heart of historical downtown Point Richmond, CA!

On the occasion of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, Rosie the Riveter Trust will be presenting a conversation with author Shelley Blanton-Stroud about her critically acclaimed historical novel, Poster Girl. The book centers around the real women behind “Rosie the Riveter,” who took on welding jobs in Richmond’s shipyards to help the war effort in a compelling mystery that casts light on the struggle for women’s and minority rights, the labor movement, and the forces of social changes at the time. The San Francisco Book Review praised the book as “an excellent read…torn out of the headlines of World War II…with sympathetic characters, set in a place and time that leaps off the page.”

Your evening will include drinks, heavy appetizers, and a conversation with Sarah Jo James, Development Manager at Rosie the Riveter Trust, and author Shelley Blanton-Stroud, followed by a Q&A with the audience and a book signing. Come and experience an unforgettable evening filled with literature, laughter, and great company. See you there!
