Out and About Town by Margaret Morkowski

Wednesday, May 13th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Now that Winter is over… Point Richmond becomes a “Partying Town.” If it’s Spring, that means “The Stroll” will soon be here. Mark your calendars for The Stroll’s 20th Anniversary, we are moving the day and extending the hours. We’ll have three great bands including our own youth group, the Crunchy Frog. Also returning are The Dave Matthews Blues Band and the Key Lime Pie. Stop by all the shops, galleries, restaurants and stores in the Point to say “Hi” and visit. There’ll be lots of non-profit organizations around the triangle with great info. Please don’t forget to stop by the History Museum. Remember to bring the kids. PRAM and the PTA will have lots of fun things for them to do. Invite your neighbors, friends and family to help us celebrate the Grand Opening of the Point Richmond Farmers’ Market. For more information, please call Marsha Tomassi at 215-6133.

We will also be celebrating the Grand Opening of the Point Richmond Farmers’ Market. Yes, the Point Richmond Business Association (PRBA) has an agreement with the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association to operate a certified farmers’ market right here in the Point. Beginning with the Stroll on May 13th and then every Wednesday, the Market will have local farmers and other producers providing great agricultural and food related specialty items. The Arts of Point Richmond and other organizations will also be participating. The Market will be located on Park Place from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The members of Business Association and the community would like to give a special thanks to Margi Cellucci and Marsha Tomassi for making the Point Richmond Farmers’ Market a reality . Thank you ladies.

Summer means it’s time for The Point Richmond Summer Concert Series. The concerts are going to be awesome. This year the current plan is for 4 concerts. PRBA serves as a liaison between the local business community and other groups such as the Richmond City Council and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. PRBA also supports a number of community endeavors such as Many Hands (which supports Washington School) and the renovation of the Plunge with financial contributions, and endorses projects like the Arts & Cultural Commission's "Gallery Without Walls."
PRBA
is probably best known for sponsoring the annual Point Richmond Stroll every spring.
